These are a series of illustrations i have been working on for a while. Since they are all in a similar style i thought i will put them together in one post and share with you. Hope you enjoyed them as much as i enjoyed working on them.

god's eye view

Here is an isometric illustration for a game. This is the first time ever that i have worked on an isometric illustration to this level of detail. It certainly tests you patience when you are at it for the first time but the end results are very satisfying. This artwork has inspired me to create more isometric illustrations and animations.

maybe maybe not

I was very excited to work on a game project for a while.  Fortunately i hit a double bonus in this case where not only i was able to work on the art and animation of the game but was also able to explore the mixed reality medium . This game is called Mystery Island. I had very less time to understand the medium, and develop the art for it, whilst animating and supervising the experience of the game. Go checkout the game !! The details of the same are on the flyer at the end of this post. To underline, it was done by the awesome TouchMagix team in India.

Here is are some initial evaluation and design, which helped me get this project.

Since this game was projected on a physical surface. The design for it couldn't be done in a conventional manner. Specially because the image size was really small. Hence the level of details had to be very low. 

All characters post design were tested on the physical unit, using a projection mapping software.

This is the final UV texture after many tries and tests. The design was to be done in such a manner so as to bring out depth on the flat surface.
